Long time, no blog...

I've been busy with wedding stuff but I couldn't resist saying hi with this happy smiling chair.

No. I did not buy it.

Pinterest Faves

I am completely hooked on Pinterest. "Pinterest is a virtual pinboard that lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web." I love it because I can save all the pretty pictures and ideas I find and save them (off my hard drive) and Pinterest retains the link so I can always get back to where I found it. Let me know if you want me to invite you.

Here are some of my fave pins from this week.

And this one continues to crack me up:

Disco can save lives

The question is not "Should we put a disco ball in our apartment?" The question is "Where should we put it?"

Speaking of disco, our nurse at school sent the staff this video promoting Hands-Only CPR. You should watch it.

Dippin'

I love Home Depot or as I affectionately call it, the "dee pot." There are so many fun things to buy there. This is especially true since, as renters, we have never had to buy anything expensive and super-not-fun like a furnace or water heater (are those the same thing?? I should know that.) Recently, I bought some fun Plasti-Dip. You are supposed to dip your old pliers in it once they have lost their grippiness. I had other plans.

Dinner party ready servewear.

Get to the dee pot and find something fun.

Filed Away

In a one bedroom apartment, every little bit of space is important. B and I have these two file boxes that we brought with us to this apartment taking up valuable space in our pantry/laundry room/utility room/printing office.

I found an ugly small file cabinet at Goodwill for $5.99. It looked like this but more beat up and with horrendous plastic handles. I get so excited about starting projects that I forget the before pic.

I wanted to let make it a suitable end table so I spray painted it white, added brass cup handles -- after a trip to Home Depot for a metal drill bit and B drilling the whole after it would drill for me, mainly because it was in reverse, and then topped it off with these brass corner decorations I found at Home Depot.

It's pretty and does double duty in our little apartment. Now there is more room in the pantry...maybe I'll use it for wine storage :) Perfect!

BTW...Happy June...14 school days left!
